I have had trouble sleeping for years. When the sleep medications stopped working, I went to a Sleep Doctor. They had me tested for Sleep Apnea. The good news is no sleep apnea. The strange news was my sleep patterns indicated that I never went into deep sleep. The doctor recommended I try yoga. I tried several yoga instructors around town and found both Dede and Robyn to be very understanding and helpful. My sleep did improve but the doctor said it will take months of practice. Dede went a step further and introduced me to Yoga Nidra – a form of yoga specific to my sleep relaxation needs. I am seeing faster results now.

I have been doing Pilates for 5+ years now. I love doing it because it's so varied, no session is ever the same! I feel toned, and even taller after some sessions with all the lengthening going on. The other reason I love Pilates are my instructors, past and present. They not only expect alot from me, but they have fun while doing it! I usually have a good laugh as well as a good workout at every session!

I have only been doing pilates for about 3 months. I already feel more in control of both my body and my spirit. When I leave pilates I am simultaneously relaxed and rejuvenated and ready to conquer any challenge. Thanks Melissa and Jen. :)

A year and a half ago, I could barely walk in and out of Pilates due to constant back pain. I could barely lift my feet to step up the steps. The first time I attended class, I can't say that I enjoyed it, but something clicked because I knew it was what I needed to regain strength in my back and abs and be able to keep moving. I now have no back pain and more strength every week. Melissa and Jennifer are unbelievable coaches and challenge their students to reach goals they never thought attainable before.

Pilates student for 1 1/2 years
I have been attending Pilates for Life a little over 1 1/2 years. It has truly been a life changing activity for me. Pilates strengthens not only the body but the mind as well. I cannot imagine what my physical state would be without Pilates and will never find out since it is such an integrated part of who I am! After seeing the improvements I made with Pilates, my husband started attending class a year ago and is still a firm believer in the benefits of Pilates also.

I found my passion for Pilates 3 years ago and cannot say enough about Melissa and Jen! They challenge me in every session and I walk out of the studio taller, stronger and more confident each time!

Melissa is a wonderful instructor. She provides lots of hands-on individual attention pushing you to do more than you thought you were able to do. And the beauty of it is that she's right here in Winghaven within walking distance!
